As you may have heard, the Music City Grand Prix is coming to Nashville August 6th - 8th. Walk Bike Nashville has partnered with the event for a family-friendly fun ride, walk or run event on the morning of August 7th.
We know what you’re thinking. Why would Walk Bike Nashville partner with a car race? Well, we’ll admit it’s not our normal course of business, but we’re excited about the event both as a fundraiser, and to enable community members to enjoy a morning of car-free streets. And, well, it turns out that some of our members like car racing, too!
Before all of the racing action begins on August 7th, the track, which goes along the Korean Veterans Memorial Bridge and Nissan Stadium, will be open for our Walk Bike Nashville community to walk/run/skate/bike on the streets… car free! A portion of each ticket sale purchased through Walk Bike Nashville will be donated to us at Walk Bike.
By purchasing a ticket through Walk Bike Nashville, you will receive:
- Access to the street (without cars, from 7:30am-9:00am) to roam the course with your own two feet or your own two wheels. You can walk, bike, skate -- bring the family, stroller and/or all of your friends!
- A General Admission ticket to Saturday’s Music City Grand Prix event, which includes: all-day access to the festival grounds, fan zone, racing activities, and music performances
- A t-shirt for the event
Bring the family or a group of friends to join in on the fun! Group tickets are available, and children under 2 get free admission.
